Wyndrock Quintet

The Wyndrock quintet, an established ensemble based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, enjoys performing and sharing our love of wind quintet music.
The Wyndrock Quintet performs music appropriate for different events, designing presentations individually for recitals, educational programs, and social gatherings.
This colorful group includes a flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon and has a large and diverse repertoire of music ranging from classical to ragtime, jazz, popular and opera.

We provide live music for:

Corporate and Cocktail parties: Live instrumental music provides a sophisticated and enjoyable background for such social events.

Weddings and religious services: We can offer music for preludes, postludes, processionals and additional music that may be reflective, ethnic, and/or unique.

Holiday Parties: The spirit of the Holidays is warmly enhanced by the presence of a live ensemble.

Private concerts : We enjoy providing music for private gatherings. This may involve music for special celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, graduations) or for a group wishing a private concert. Our concerts feature lively commentary about the program selections.

Wyndrock Quintet

Amanda Mark, Flute (currently on leave)
Heidi Weaver, Flute lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She recently left her hometown of Brampton, Ontario to raise her family in the east coast of Canada. Heidi was a long time member of the Brampton Concert Band where her love for music took flight. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Music, majoring in flute performance, from Mount Allison University, and has studied at the Domaine Forget Music Academy with some of Canada’s great flautists, as well as some international flautists. Heidi recently held the principal chair for the Brampton Symphony Orchestra and has also played for Symphony New Brunswick, the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra, and many pit orchestras in the Toronto area. She very much enjoys performing and was fortunate to have had the experience of playing a featured solo with the Brampton Concert Band in Schladming, Austria. Heidi is currently playing with the Wyndrock Quintet and teaches flute to some of Dartmouth’s up and coming flautists.

Nina Woulff, Oboe, comes from New York City where she started studying oboe as a teenager. She continued with music studies at City College in Manhattan and has played in a number of university and community orchestras. She currently plays with Mostly Telemann, Nova Sinfonia, Chebucto Community Orchestra, Dalhousie University Orchestra and the Wyndrock Quintet. By day she works as a psychologist.

Clement Roy, Clarinet harkens from Quebec City. Quebec. He has been clarinetist in many bands, and coordinates audio and video productions of band performances. In addition, he has conducted choirs.

Kristin Bieber Domm, Bassoon began studying the bassoon as a teenager with Paul Ganson of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. After returning to her Nova Scotia roots in 1992, she played with the Chebucto Symphony Orchestra. Kristin currently plays with the Wyndrock Quintet and in bassoon ensembles. By day she is an author and writing teacher.

Michael, Chisholm, French Horn grew up in New Glasgow, NS where he began playing horn in the band program in junior high, going on to study at St Francis Xavier and Mount Allison Universities. He has performed with the National Youth Band of Canada, the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra and Symphony New Brunswick. He currently plays with the PEI Symphony Orchestra, Nova Sinfonia and Chebucto Symphony Orchestra and the Wyndrock Quintet. Having a special interest in wind and brass music he arranges for wind ensembles .
